Pacific Engineering Systems International

Established in 1983, Pacific Engineering Systems International Pty Ltd, or Pacific ESI, is an advanced engineering consulting company based in Sydney, Australia. We specialise in solving the unusual in fluids and structures as well as the complex multi-physics fluid-structure interactions that are the real world. While we focus on numerical simulations and analyses we have established partnerships with measurement and testing laboratories to provide an end-to-end testing and development pathway for your project. Our highly trained engineers, who support our internal IT infrastructure and projects, can be leveraged to push your computing project to the next level in-house, in the cloud or a hybrid.

Software

Our engineers are experienced users across a broad portfolio of commercial, open source and custom in-house developed numerical packages. We are the Australian and New Zealand sales and support agent for the ESI Group and have full access to their software as well as deep integration into the development and troubleshooting of future numerical simulation products. We can provide both the software and training for you to develop your in-house expertise and solutions for your day-to-day operational needs.

Capabilities

If you have a problem with linear or non-linear solids, liquids or multi-physics, then it is highly likely that our engineers can assist. We have worked in areas as diverse as aerospace and rock fracturing, cavitation and structural aging, as well as crash testing and explosions. To support our numerical tools, we have deep links with university and commercial experimental laboratories with whom we collaborate to validate our solutions.

IT

We have a core team of highly trained IT engineers who support our internal computing and run our own systems across a hybrid infrastructure platform. They provide highly available redundant systems that scale out from capable desktop-based workstations for our engineers through to cloud compute systems such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure via an onsite high-performance computing cluster. If you have a pressing need to develop your own compute systems or would like to investigate outsourcing, we can assist you.

Training

Pacific ESI is pleased to offer a significant training suite as part of our service portfolio. Many of our engineers are former university researchers with extensive experience with the delivery of teaching and learning. We are able to leverage these hard earned skill sets to deliver custom training tailored to your needs. This can be applied to training in the use of software or designed to upskill your workforce on the fundamental physics and mathematics that underlie the products within our software portfolio.
